Jeffrey’s Thinking about How Gold Helps the Economy
Out of all
resources in Peru ,
gold brings in the most money to the economy. This may help boost up the
economy but they are depending on this resource too much. This resource is hard
to find and the quantity of gold on earth is low which caused it to be priced
high. They can not completely depend on this resource because when you can’t
find anymore the economy drops down low. Peru ’s economy isn’t stable, one of
the reasons could be because they depend on things that are not easy to find. Depending
on each small resource would create a stable economy but to do it is hard. So if one resource is low in quantity it
would not affect as much. In conclusion both ways are good but some may be more
stable.
Jeffrey’s Thinking about if you should
visit Peru
or not
From
the tourist attractions Macchu Picchu is one of the places I would recommend
going to because it has a lot of history culture about Peru . It may be a nice place to
visit but some areas may be a bit more creep because Peru is a poor country so they may
try to pickpocket. I think you should use you common sense and don’t go
wandering around to places you do not know. As long as you stay in the tourist
areas it may be more easy and safe to get around.
Aiden’s Thinking
I think Peru would be a nice place to visit because of great places like
called Machu Picchu but has some terrible pollution that has been caused by
trying (and not to successful) to catch up with the richer countries (first
world countries) and become a first world country itself. A big problem in the
way is that the country has big depts. to other countries and has to use a lot
of the money they get by taxes and from there resources but still have depts.
Even when they get billions from their natural resources and millions more from
their industrial factories they can’t seem to pay back the depts. This makes it
between poor and rich which for me is a reason not to go since it does not have
enough clean water from the lack of money. So I think it is a great place to
visit with all these amazing land marks and special cities but you would need
to bring some money for clean water since 62% of the rural population get clean
water. The country Peru seems to have everything a country could ask for, like
gold, other precise metals, oil, and so much more but they had some bad
presidents which just tried to stuff their pockets with money but had caused
many depts. and need to harvest lots of resources well causing pollution. Some
examples of the big pollution problems are deforestation which is their forest
by being chopped down, another pollution problem is air pollution which affects
Lima quite a bit and is from the industrial factories the last big pollution
problem is water pollution which has caused less people to get clean water.
In all resources gold brings in the
most money. If they stopped mining there
economy would drop a lot because most resources that are being exported are
minerals. Peru’s economy is not very stable because they have many debts to
pay. Keeping up with these exports would help them pay them, and create a
strong economy for Peru.
